This ProFusion 26 is the latest Jen-Ken innovation. It has a HUGE 26x26 opening. It comes on an integrated stand with casters, has a spring assisted lid and has quartz encased elements. The top is 2300 degree rigid fiber, and allows for quick firings. You can fire as fast as 500 degrees an hour. This is one of the new generation of kilns made from rigid fiber that is hard as a rock. It's 100% fiber top means it heats and cools faster than your traditional ceramic kiln, but can be programmed for long slow anneals as well. The square shape means more available space to fire your pieces. This pre-ordered unit comes with a $250 FIBER 25x25" shelf, which makes it an all fiber firing chamber, and allows you to fire small pieces even more quickly.
This unit also has the newest Solid State Relays which have no moving parts and last far longer than standard mechanical relays and offer far better temperature control during hold times. You will also benefit from a quieter operation, as solid-state relays are silent. And to Top It All Off, we've added the TAP Controller to this pre-ordered unit as well, so you'll have all of the latest and greatest add-ons and features and you won't have to wait 6-9 months to get one... This unit is expected to ship out in November or early December, just in time for the holidays.
TAP controller with touchscreen technology
This kiln includes the TAP controller with touchscreen technology and wi-fi compatibility. The Touchscreen displays all programming and use commands in full text for easy use and understanding. The TAP Controller menu driven software is well laid out, logical and very intuitive. During standby and run operations the TAP Controller displays large format, high contrast screens that display kiln temperature and current state.
The TAP Controller includes pre-loaded firing schedules and the ability to create you own, unique firing schedules. During an actual firing the TAP offers on-the-fly changes including adjusting set point temperatures, hold times and skipping ahead. The controller includes kiln error information and diagnostics features. Diagnostics provide a real-time look into the usage of critical kiln components. The TAP Controller monitors many functions and allows you to calculate your actual cost per firing.
The TAP Controller is designed for computer networking via USB wi-fi or ethernet connections. This connectivity will allow for monitoring the kiln, developing and editing programs, or performing TAP Controller functions from a network connected computer, tablet or mobile device. Web based apps are expected to be available early 2016.
